2005.04.05; Stubborn Door Incident (“You did not choose me, but I chose you” – John 15:16)

Narration by Dr. Richard de Guzman himself:
I was astonished to witness another mysterious incident that happened in our meeting this morning. I have no idea at all that Etma wants to talk to me in private inside his office. He gave Carlos Pakingan, the accountant and secretary, his key to open the door of his office but Carlos cannot open it after trying three times. So Carlos returned Etma’s key and took his duplicate from his table. He then proceeded to the same door and tried to open it for four times but he cannot. So Etma thought that probably it is a sign that he should not hesitate to talk to that person in front of everybody and that person is me. “Why? What is the subject matter?” I asked myself. Five minutes before the meeting ended, Etma made an announcement and first made a statement that if is about God, no need for me to be uneasy or uncomfortable. After a pause, Etma appointed me to be the Area Minister of the Mission without hesitation for he believes in my capability and character. This is the reason why he wants to talk to me in private.
After the meeting at 8:00 AM, I went first to mam Anna, Etma's wife, to give her medicines, which is one of my regular duties being a family physician for the Mijares family. After that I was thinking of talking to Etma to tell him that I'm not qualified to be appointed as Area Minister of Etman Heart (EH). But as I entered my office, Carlos informed me that he was petrified when he opened Etma's office door without difficulty (just one try) after the meeting. So I thought that there is really a Divine Providence when Etma appointed me as an Area Minister because I used to help and enjoy with the poor especially when I started working as a doctor in Occidental Mindoro in the Philippines with a lot of poor people. Aside from giving free professional assistance to the poor, I even got into providing monthly financial help for their medical needs. About these, my boss Etma did not know firsthand, and just told him happily upon formally talking to me about the new position as Area Minister. Additionally, I even made a story that when I saw one 6 years old boy without slippers at Department Store of AWM (3 days before my appointment), I bought him slippers, and told him that it's from EHM. I also related to Etma of little I had before: I thought of becoming a priest after graduating highschool. And not only that, I also dream of building a shelter for homeless children.
Why there is Divine Providence? Because if Etma was able to talk to me privately, I will refuse to accept that offer. I believe that I can accomplish and perform the mission of EH even without a position. So when Etma announced that he is eyeing me to be the Area Minister in front of the Council, I felt hesitant to refuse. But when Carlos told me what happened after the meeting, all I said to myself is….. "Thy Will Be Done".

Etma’s Analysis as of 2016;
After eight years from this incident, I came up with another view with deep understanding of the whole picture of this 21st Century Divine Revelation (21CDR) and the Bible. Let me first present of an overview of what transpired before and after the Stubborn Door Incident, as follow;
Before the Incident;
In the beginning of the 21CDR, there were thirteen miraculous incidents within the eight month-period before this Stubborn Door Incident happened. They occurred in series one after the other in a well-designed set-up that I truly understood of a divine revelation of God’s will which is in line with Scripture. With this in mind, even many did not believe, I was kind of worried if I go first without a substitute for the divine mandate. So, I thought deeply who will replace me if I die, and I came up the name of Dr. Dr. Richard de Guzman, who showed diligence and punctuality in his work with us.
I was touched when I found out that he worked in remote areas, like Mindoro, for mentioning that he had a dream to establish an orphanage.
Aside from being a doctor, the above is the reason I chose him out of those five members of my staff and who happened to witness most of the miracles.
After the Incident:
He was transferred from our company to another, a hospital in Pohnpei, FSM, which made us not in constant communication. When we met in 2009, he implied that he became so busy, especially for his mother.
On August 15, 2013, during my audio learning of chapter by chapter of the Bible, I discovered that the first disciples of Jesus were fishermen: Peter, Andrew, John and James. And this made me realized that God did not want to get professional who is busy of his profession and someone who has high obligation for his family. With this in mind, I came up of the following Bible verses;
- Matthew 10:37, “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me."
- 1 Corinthians 1:26-29, "Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him."
Analysis and Revelatory Message, as of March 7, 2018 (after the whole episode of the 21st Century Divine Revelation, 2004-2018);
On March 7, 2018, while resting at the bedroom and thinking of the Stubborn Door Incident I came to think of Moises Esmena who was chosen to assist me for the divine mandate, as revealed in the following two miracles;
Teaching: With miraculous bleeding is a stigma, the holy wound of Jesus.
God's nature: God is light.
I was thinking that the reason of the Stubborn Door Incident is because of Moises Esmena, who is a Company Technician and did not have a college degree in line with 1 Cor. 1:26-29. And he was with me in two major miraculous incidents detailed in the above links, “Wounds & Blood Episode” and “Beam of Light in Three Incidents”.
I was thinking that he will replace me when I’m gone but suddenly, it is not that way. I was misled because of the many religious institutions or church organizations which are managed by line-up of personnel. What is sad, once the head or the founder passes away, the next is the immediate family member, like son or brother, especially if the organization or institution is amassing so much money.
From those miracles and biblical teaching, Moises was chosen; it does not mean to replace me if I were gone, but just to give a message to the world that in choosing for such position is not just to give high preference to schooled but also the unschooled (1 Cor. 1:26-27j. In connection to this, the following verses have made my mind clearer for not worrying who to replace me;
- 2 Corinthians 3:3, "You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts."
- John 15:16, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you."
