2016.12.18 – The Rainbow Episode (Reminder of the New Covernant, Genesis 9:14-16)

On December 18, at about 7 A.M. I was taking my usual walk exercise at Paco Market going to the training hall at Cortada, Ermita a rainbow suddenly appeared in the sky in front of me. After one hour of walking I reached Rizal Park and when passing by the fountain a small-size rainbow episode occurred in the following sequence, see sketch below;

The above picture showing the stages 1, 2, & 3 is not the actual especially the rainbow was just a ketch to show how the episode occurred. On that particulare time, a group of four highschoool students wearing white & red uniforms took the picture, which I did not do.

 

The stages of the rainbow episode;

1. First, the rainbow appeared by the right side of one of the man-made spring water.
2. After ten seconds, it disappeared but within another ten seconds it appeared again but at the left side of the spring water.
3. About three seconds, as I started walking, the rainbow appeared in the same place, left side, but this time this time smaller than the first two. But mystical about this third one was when it moved about three feet away from the fountain spring and disappeared.

Soon when I reached Cortada, where I used to meet the flock (Romans 12:16, Mark 16:15), I relayed the rainbow incident. I asked if ever they saw rainbow from the spring, and all answered, none. In such situation, Beo Jeminez, who worked in Chuuk before, told the group excitingly of what happened in Chuuk when double rainbows appeared in our sight when we were at the house of Aces, my son. While listening to the story of Beo, I also quietly remembered of other five rainbow incidents happened when I was in Chuuk.

As I analyzed, I considered the rainbow incident in the fountain at Rizal Park is a miracle. So, I researched and found out a meaning in Genesis 9:14-16. It is a reminder of the covenant between God and the earth that the deluge (Genesis flood) during Noah’s time is not going to be repeated. Somehow, still the signs of the end times are indicated in the following Bible verses;

• Luke 21:10-11, "Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven."

• Matthew 24:6-7, "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places."

• 2 Timothy 3:1-2, "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy. . ."

Revelatory Message:

The revelatory message of this Rainbow Incident is in the following Bible verse;

God’s Covenant With Noah;

• Genesis 9:14-16, “Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”

However, there is still this issue of the end times which according in the Bible, wars and rumors of wars must take place, as in the following; 

• Mark 13:7, "When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be frightened; those things must take place; but that is not yet the end."

As indicated above, that is not yet the end, even wars and many serious issues the world had suffered. This Rainbow Episode is revealing a divine call which I now call as spiritual awakening, not necessarily to change but for humanity to be awakened. God’s laws are already written in our hearts and minds; Hebrews 10:16. To be righteous is make our spiritual identity to prevail leading to world unity and peace. And to be righteous, like the story of Abraham who begged God for Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 18:16-32) we may save the world, even with only very few righteous, like ten, as in this verse;

• Genesis 18:32, "Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?” He answered, “For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.”

There were other miracles took place revealing of the divine messages in direct relation to this Rainbow Episode, and their links are as follow;
