2004.08.10: Stranded 15 Filipino Fishermen Drifted to Chuuk

Narration:

It was August 10, 2004, a month after the three mysterious incidents occurred, indicating of a divine mandate, my wife Anna and I received the news that there were 15 stranded Filipino fishermen, headed by Carlito Sinday, at Chuuk Lagoon. These fishermen with three teenagers among them were lost and mystically drifted from General Santos City, Malapatan, Sarangani Province, Philippines to Chuuk. Their families and authorities assumed them dead because they were missing for three months without any news. The stranded fishermen were transferred on the hands of the Filipinos’ KAPIT (Kapatiran sa Isla ng Truk) a Filipino organization here in Chuuk, the president of which at that time was, Mr. Florante Ygana (Tente), who asked my wife and me for some assistance, since Chuuk government cannot and had their own problems to resolve first. So, immediately, my wife, who is also the CEO of the AWM, Inc., responded wholeheartedly and gave not just a shelter, not just food, not just clothing, but also a part time job while waiting for the processing of papers for their return to Philippines.

In few days, Carlo Magno, a Philippine consulate officer from Guam, came in Chuuk and processed the proper documents for the return of the 15 Filipino fishermen. So, on August 14, 2004, the time of departure from Chuuk back to Philippines, there was an apparent mixed emotion: The fishermen were happy because they will see their loved ones soon, and they were also sad because they enjoyed their short stay here in Chuuk and will miss those people, both Chuukese and Filipinos, who took care of them and became their friends even for a short period of time. Truly, it was a heartwarming scene for all of us. The names of the stranded fishermen are as follow:

Analysis:

1. I could presume of a divine intervention because of the extreme difficulty for 15 fishermen drifted to Weno (Moen), Chuuk, being a small island and about 2,000 miles from their origin General Santos City, Philippines losing the chance to reach nearby neighboring places, such as Palau, Yap, and other small islands along the way (see map above).

2. With three months on the sea, all the 15 fishermen, with three teenagers, were able to survive without encountering tragic accidents that may cause a fatality.

3. They arrived Chuuk in synchronicity with the on-going epiphanic incidents in our training session, signifying a divine call for the practice of love in action (1 John 3:17-18) or faith with works (James 2:14-17).

4. And with their mysterious arrival in Chuuk, the Filipinos, the Chuukese, and especially my wife were able to practice faith and love in action with the poor and needy fishermen, especially on how to serve Jesus, as expressed the following verse:

• Matthew 25:35-36, "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

5. After analyzing the whole 21CDR this 2011, I now thought that before proceeding to the next stages of miraculous incidents, God tested our faith first, in correlation with this verse:

• James 2:14-17, "What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."

Revelatory Message:

God has many ways to interact with people: He can create a situation to test our faith before proceeding to the major stages of the miraculous incidents.

In the process of finalizing the 21st Century Divine Revelation (21CDR) today of August 12, 2013, the event is a reminder of Jesus’ first two disciples, Simon Peter and his brother Andrew, who were fishermen:

• Matthew 4:18-19, “As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

That God chose the weak or the non-schooled:

• 1 Corinthians 1:26-27, " Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong."
