and I will raise it again in three days.”

(John 2:19)

God does not live on house made by human hands:

  • Acts 17:24, "The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands."

Earth is just a footstool of God:

  • Acts 7:48-49, “However, the Most High does not live in houses made by human hands. As the prophet says: “‘Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord. Or where will my resting place be?”

We together are that temple:

  • 1 Corinthians 3:17, "If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple."

Jesus answered that the temple destroyed he will raise it again in three days:

  • John 2:18-19, "The Jews then responded to him, “What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?” 19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”

Jesus is the head of the body, the church:

  • Colossians 1:18, "And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy."
  • Colossians 1:24, "Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church."
  • Ephesians 1:22-23, "And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way."
  • Ephesians 4:15, "Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ."

We can come together as a church:

  • 1 Corinthians 11:18, "In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it."

Jesus said to Peter that on this rock he will build his church:

  • Matthew 16:18, "And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it."

We are the temple of the living God:

  • 2 Corinthians 6:16, "What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”"

The kingdom of God is our midst:

  • Luke 17:20-21, "Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, 21 nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst."

One thing that we must seek first is the kingdom of God:

  • Matthew 6:33, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

No matter of differences, we are all in one in Christ Jesus:

  • Galatians 3:28, "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

We are the body of Christ, and each of us is a part of it:

  • 1 Corinthians 12:26-27, "If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it."

We are co-workers in God’s service; we are God’s field, God’s building:

  • 1 Corinthians 3:9, "For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building."

That we watch over ourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made us overseers to shepherd the church of God:

  • Acts 20:28, "Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood."

If we help the poor with love, we did it for Jesus (Mat. 25:35-36), and the poor are blessed for there’s the kingdom of God:

  • Luke 6:20, "Looking at his disciples, he said, “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God."

Jesus told to Peter that on this rock he will build his church:

  • Matthew 16:18, "And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it."

Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it in three days:

  • John 2:19, "Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”

Jesus’ prayer before his prosecution that we all be in one:

  • John 17:20-21, "“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me."
